The atmosphere at Haiku Gardens is magical and is such a hidden gem in Oahu for your locals and destination brides alike. Haiku Gardens is located on the east side of Oahu, in Kanhoe. The venue showcases a breathtaking botanical Garden and a beautiful, open-air Tahitian Chapel.

Haiku Gardens Features

In the center of the venue, there is a gazebo afloat in a pond filled with koi fish. The foliage makes you feel like you are in a tropical jungle and serves as some epic photo spots for both you and your guests. The venue is like a built-in photo booth, every single angle of this place is its good angle. At the top of the venue, there is a great restaurant called Haleiwa Joes and I recommend the tuna poke. As you sit at their beautiful wooden tables you can see the mountains and the clouds. This place is perfect if you are looking for a botanical garden with all the amenities.

What really set this venue apart from so many others in Hawaii is it is not at the beach and because of this, couples get so many amazing versatile photos of themselves. The ambiance of this place is serene. With all these unique and different backdrops you will never get tired of this venue. It offers so many creative approaches from a photographers perspective. Haiku garden truly delivers Hawaii beauty in this private and secluded garden paradise.

The newlyweds celebrate by popping champagne. Thankfully, The groom was careful not to mess around with his bride’s dress and makeup.

 doesn’t need much decoration because of its natural beauty and lush forest landscape.

But, Sarah at The Simple Flourish

wrote poems on ribbons and hung them from the trees to create a gorgeous romantic touch for the guests and the bride and groom to enjoy.

The pond is filled with big beautiful koi fish and is just such a remarkable backdrop for the newlyweds to take their couples photos.

I love taking the bride and groom portraits and I seek to tell a story through a snapshot. I Love this photo of the groom. He looks casually distinguished and handsome in is a suit with the palm leaves in the background.

After the couple was married, they celebrated with a classic Hawaii tradition of sharing

Shave Ice

from Crack seed store in Kanhoe. It was about a 7 min drive from the venue.

When we took this shot a little girl and her mom came over to tell us they were so worried the bride was going to spill her shave ice on her dress.

The cake was simple three layers and hand painted to give it a watercolor effect.
