Eric and Cinthia | Turtle Bay Resort, Kawela Bay

I love photographing beach weddings. There’s something about the picturesque shorelines, vast blue ocean, and expansive sky that makes for the perfect backdrop. And when the sky blends with the blue of the sea on the horizon, it’s epic – just like Eric and Cinthia’s intimate beach wedding at the Turtle Bay Resort. Yes, it was absolutely perfect! With the stunning location offering plenty of picture-perfect locations where I could pose the couple, I just knew we were going to get some amazing shots!  The weather was gorgeous and the guests were all smiles. If you’re looking for a place where you can celebrate your special day, with a variety of scenery from beach to banyan trees, the Turtle Bay Resort in Kawela Bay, Hawaii is the place for you!

Eric And Cinthia’s Eric Kawela Bay Wedding

Eric and Cinthia’s wedding at the Turtle Bay Resort in Kawela Bay, on the island of Oʻahu in Hawaii was a simple event. The landscape was lush with trees and the water was a perfect shade of blue. The white sandy beach looked like something from a postcard and my couple looked so in love! There was an air of romance surrounding my couple and their wedding photos are proof of that.

Eric and Cinthia, if you’re reading this I just want to say that you both hit the nail on the head with your venue selection! I absolutely loved it!

I’ve had the privilege of photographing many weddings, but there was something extra special about Eric and Cinthia’s wedding. It was intimate, with only their closest friends and family staying with them at the resort. And despite its simplicity, the wedding was absolutely gorgeous! Cinthia looked ethereal in her flowing white gown, and Eric was dashing in his blue suit. But what I really loved about this wedding was the sense of fun and excitement that filled the air. Intimate weddings always have a unique energy to them, and Eric and Cinthia’s was no exception!

Before the ceremony began, Eric and Cinthia had a heartfelt and emotional first look. As Cinthia arrived in her wedding dress, Eric’s face lit up with happiness and he broke into tears of joy! It was such a touching moment to witness. The massive banyan trees provided a natural backdrop and the light shining through the trees created a really romantic atmosphere for their couples portraits! Plus, the calming nature surrounding them only added to the overall aesthetics of their photos. Eric and Cinthia were so in love that they couldn’t take their eyes off each other!

I enjoyed capturing all of the magical moments from Eric and Cinthia’s Kawela Bay beach wedding ceremony! Cinthia walked up the sandy white aisle with her parents on either side. The ceremony altar was simple with a wreath of green leaves and white flowers on the ground. The couple chose a picturesque spot on the beach, with the blue ocean as their backdrop. Eric and Cinthia exchanged their vows with the waves crashing against the shoreline, and then they sealed their marriage with a kiss! It was truly a wonderful day, and I’m so glad I was able to capture all of these special moments for them.

After being pronounced husband and wife, it was time to celebrate! Eric and Cinthia gathered everyone together on the beach to toast with shots of tequila! The sky changed colors from blue to pink as the sun went down, and it was just breathtaking. As I watched Eric and Cinthia dance on the beach, I couldn’t help but smile. Their happiness was so contagious!

The two love birds showed off their wedding rings, and I could tell they were having a blast! Cinthia’s bridal jacket was really cool – it had the words “hasta la muerte” (which translates “to death”) embossed on the back. It was clear that she and Eric had a sense of humor, and I loved that about them. Eric and Cinthia were all about having fun and making memories on their wedding day. They weren’t the type of couple who cared about formalities or traditions. They just wanted to celebrate their love with family and friends. It was a beautiful thing to see!
